Power to Hydrogen is seeking a Controls Engineer to join the team and help bring our innovative, green hydrogen technology to market. The focus of the position will be to lead software and controls development and implementation as we commercialize our next generation Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolyzers.
Responsibilities
· Lead the development of flexible and scalable control systems for our containerized AEM water electrolysis systems and associated testing infrastructure
· Use simulation software tools to model control system designs and simulate expected operation
· Develop software for and program PLC hardware, following industry standards
· Develop automation and safety control subsystems for products and test stands
· Assist in the test and validation of developed hardware and software
· Prepare documentation of controls components, systems and processes following QS/ISO procedures
· Assist in the development of processes for collection and reduction of system data
· Preparation of technical reports
· Document and maintain control system requirements
DesiredQualifications/Skills
· Bachelor of Science degree in Software or Controls Engineering or similar
· 3-5 years of experience in industrial setting using process control and automation
· Prior experience withPLC equipment, feedback systems, PID control
· Prior experience withNational Instruments products (DAQ, LabVIEW, Testbench)
· Experience with process control hardware (variable speed drives, pneumatic and pressure controls, sensor and actuators)
· Experience with control design toolsets (MATLAB/Simulink, etc)
· Familiarity with electrical standards and certification (IEEE, NFPA, CE, UL)
· Adaptable, hands-on, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical mindset
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Passionate about working in R&D setting for a clean energy startup
· Must be eligible to work in the US
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000annual salary with standard benefits
