Power to Hydrogen is seeking a Chemical Systems Engineer to join the team and help bring our innovative, green hydrogen technology to market. The focus of the position will be to lead systems, product and process engineering activities as we commercialize our next generation Anion Exchange Membrane(AEM) Electrolyzers.

 

Responsibilities

·      Design, analyze and integrate processes within AEM electrolyzer systems

·      Develop and optimize system-level models for electrolyzer performance, mass/heat transfer, and fluid dynamics

·      Lead requirements and specification development and documentation for system, subsystems, and components

·      Generation of system documentation including process flow diagrams (PFD), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and control strategies

·      Participate in safety reviews (DFMEA, PFMEA, HAZOP) and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards

·      Collaborate and coordinate with other functions to scale technologies from lab to pilot and commercial systems

·      Support schedule for prototype, pilot and product level system testing, validation and commissioning

·      Troubleshoot system-level issues, providing root cause analysis and design solutions

·     Preparation of technical reports

 

Desired Qualifications/Skills

·      Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field

·      3-5 years of experience in electrochemical or chemical systems

·      Prior experience with product, process and system engineering methodologies

·      Ability to design, develop and commission complex electrochemical systems

·      Proficient with engineering tools such as Aspen, COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink, Python

·      Background in scale up from lab to pilot scale and commercial systems

·      Adaptable, hands-on, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical mindset

·      Strong written and oral communication skills

·      Passionate about working in R&D setting for a clean energy startup

·      Must be eligible to work in the US

 

Compensation: $100,000-$120,000annual salary with standard benefits
